Police Called During Home Invasion - On Arrival They Find Major Marijuana Growing Operation!
Ontario police made some easy arrests this week after they were summoned to the scene of a major marijuana growing operation.
Ontario police arrested 3 in connection with a major marijuana grow operation outside of Perth this week.
Police were called to the scene of the marijuana operation after a 911 caller alerted officers to a break-in in progress at a rural residence. Arriving police found area teenagers involved in a robbery attempt - and found what the kids were likely after as well.
Police lucked into 1.3 million dollars worth of marijuana plants at the residence, and their night got even better after the owners of the residence stormed the scene – and were quickly arrested.
In all, 1387 marijuana plants were seized, and Nhat Thi Huyng, 35, Dung Van Nguyen, 40 and Cuong Van Pham, 20 were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to traffic, and theft of electricity.
Police in Ontario are asking people to be watchful of suspicious activities as growers move to transplant marijuana plants to outdoor fields, ready for the summer growing season. Police say that 2 give-away signs to watch for are flashlights moving through crop-fields at night, and ATV's on rural roads after dark.
