Facing your Fears
-Maria
Florence Cameron Says...
Maria, I honor your courage to seek help. Not knowing much about you other then you wanting to put your hands back on the wheel of your life and begin to consciously drive it sober, tells me so much. Perhaps you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Perhaps you have consistently let loved ones down and you feel alone and isolated, or your having health problems it really doesn't matter. That you have taken the first step even if this isn't the 1st time means you are trying. Winners are losers who got up and gave it one more try. You deserve a life enjoying and remembering all the hallmark moments. This is the hardest part of your journey through recovery and when you get through the 1st month you will feel better. However this will be a challenging journey but one you do not have to travel alone. Please listen to your counselors and nurses and follow their advice. Your best thinking got you here. Leave the recovery business to the professionals. Take one day at a time and remember you are worth a life worth living. I wish you all the best. Have faith in the process. Learn to be kind to your body, mind and spirit.
