Melanie Courville, R.N. - Chief Executive Officer
Melanie Courville, R.N., has been with Acadiana Addiction Center since shortly after its opening in 2004. Melanie graduated in 1986 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.S. in Nursing. Melanie's clinical experience combined with her substance abuse background enhances her ability to ensure AAC's mission and patient recovery process are at the forefront of our patients' daily treatment. Melanie is our CEO who with compassion, experience and training, successfully leads members of the AAC team, continually emphasizing the need to provide the best in patient care.
Dr. LaFleur - Medical Director
Dr. LaFleur has been the Medical Director for Acadiana Addiction Center since its beginning. He obtained his B.S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, (formerly the University of Southwestern Louisiana), and his Medical Doctorate from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He completed his Family Practice residency training at the University Medical Center in Lafayette, where he served as Chief Resident for a year.
LaCretia Prudhomme - Director of Admissions
LaCretia has been with Acadiana Addiction Center since 2007. She worked as an LPN for 20 years with extensive experience as a Med/Surg nurse. After 20 years she decided to leave the healthcare field, and owned and operated a small business locally, until coming to work at Acadiana Addiction Center. As Director of Admissions, she oversees the Admissions and Utilization Review departments.
