With cities that never sleep, it's not surprising that more than a few in Nevada end up drug addicts and alcoholics. In Reno and Las Vegas, crack cocaine and heroin cause difficulties and alcohol remains the most abused substance in the state, but more recently meth has become the most widely abused illicit drug, and too many are now feeling the devastation of a crystal meth addiction throughout Nevada.
Nevada is home to several luxurious private drug and alcohol rehab centers, and since Nevada supports moderate parity legislation, those people with comprehensive private health insurance should receive the funding they need for drug and alcohol treatment.
Fortunately, even for those people who do not have health insurance, and who lack the money to pay for private drug treatment, there are several free or very affordable drug and alcohol rehabs available throughout the state. These nonprofit rehabs will serve all in need without regard to an ability to pay for treatment.
