Rancho Park Recovery is an affordable structured Sober Living in a safe luxury neighborhood, conveniently located in the heart of West LA. Formerly known as The Genesis House, we have been helping others get back on their feet and stay sober for 25 years.
The RPR facility is located in the heart of Cheviot Hills and sits across the street from the famous Rancho Park and Hillcrest Country Club. Clients are only a step away from one of LA’s largest public recreation areas. Not only do we encourage our clients to lead healthy, active lifestyles but we also provide a family-like atmosphere where we cook meals together and take part in group activities.
Lance Porter, the founder of Rancho Park Recovery and Genesis Sober Living For Men, has been helping men get sober since 1997. As a team, we consider ourselves not just a sober living home, but also a brotherhood. We are a medium-structured men’s sober living house located in the heart of Cheviot Hills / Rancho Park, CA. Recreation and leisure activities are encouraged as an important part of the recovery process. Our foundation is centered on the 12-step philosophy and integrates healthy living habits into everyday life.
Our staff is dedicated to helping men recover from alcoholism and addiction. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, drug-free environment for recovering men who require a structured environment as they re-enter the workplace and community.
Please feel free to call any time and we will do our best to accommodate you.
At the heart of our sober living house is the belief that recovery is not a journey taken alone but a collective endeavor, rooted in community, fellowship, and mutual support. We understand that the path to sobriety is a multifaceted one, requiring more than just clinical interventions. It demands a holistic approach that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit, and that's exactly what we strive to provide here.
Our treatment philosophy is grounded in the power of community. We believe that when individuals are given a safe space to grow, they not only heal but also help others heal. Our alumni meetings serve as a testament to this, offering residents both new and old the chance to share their stories, their struggles, and their triumphs. These meetings are a living, breathing example of the strength that comes from unity, showing our current residents that long-term recovery is not just possible but achievable and fulfilling.
We also recognize the importance of daily rituals and physical well-being in the recovery process. Our morning meditation meetings are designed to help residents start their day with focus and intention, grounding them in the present moment. Activities like hiking, swimming, and trips to the beach are not just leisurely pastimes; they are integral to our treatment philosophy. Nature heals, and physical activity rejuvenates the body, clears the mind, and uplifts the spirit.
Outside meetings and community-based activities further enrich our program, offering residents the opportunity to integrate into the broader recovery community and to practice the social skills essential for long-term sobriety. We believe that the spirit of fellowship extends beyond the walls of our home, and we encourage our residents to be active members of the society to which they belong.
In essence, our program is more than just a series of activities or clinical methods; it's a way of life, one that fosters a spirit of community and mutual support. Together, we are not just strong; we are unstoppable. Together, we don't just survive; we thrive. Welcome to a community where you are never alone, and where your journey to recovery is our journey too.
