Anyone is welcome, as long as they are willing to participate in a Christian program of recovery and willing to work within the organization as they undergo treatment, as a way of funding their stay. Salvation Army ARC rehabs generally run for 6 months or longer, you can get in for free and all of your food, shelter and clothing will be provided free of charge during this period. The Salvation Army, providing sober sanctuary for those with nowhere else to go and changing lives for the better across the nation. The Salvation Army may be what you've been looking for.
Run by unqualified former addicts who can barely read or write. You will get no therapy and many of the people there are negative. The Counselor I had was okay, but the days I needed him... wasn't. There is a class action lawsuit. J found out this place was pushing CRT and cultural Marxist attitudes with the speakers. Bashing Andrew Jackson? A man with one arm couldn't work and was put out on the street.
Slave camp if you can't work they dont want any parts of you. If recovery was nessary you won't get it here.
I was a homeless alcoholic. The Salvation Army provided all needed counseling and services to get well and stay that way. Years later I speak at Re-habs and hospitals for AA.
I have a family and now a retired engineer.
Many thanks to Capt. Bill Madison and his staff at the ARC Dallas. Thanks is not enough but thanks to the DARC Dallas TX for a life restored.
