More about Sunspire Health Hyde Park

Sunspire Health Hyde Park is a small, women's treatment facility in Tampa, Florida, for women affected by addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our approach to treatment at Hyde Park is evidence-based and abstinence-focused with a balance of experiential therapies for whole-patient wellness, all catered to the needs of each individual. The intimate setting and female-specific care fosters bonding among patients to build an empowered community that promotes healing in a judgement-free, compassionate environment.

The clinical staff at Hyde Park specializes in helping women overcome body image issues and disordered eating that often co-occur with substance abuse, and they also have special expertise in dealing with trauma resolution. Hyde Park's staff places the highest priority on treating each patient with compassion and empathy as they tackle these deeply rooted issues throughout their treatment.

In addition to its residential/inpatient program, Hyde Park offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in buildings separate from residential patients. Each patient receives individualized treatment based on her specific needs for recovery. Patients have many different varieties of therapy available during treatment, including individual therapy, family therapy, CBT, gender-specific group work, psycho-education, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and recreational therapy . Alternative therapies such as yoga, meditation, and mindfulness are also offered. The facility has a high staff-to-patient ratio, ensuring that each patient receives the personalized care she deserves.

Admissions Process

The first step to beginning a rehab program is to call or chat a Sunspire Health care advocate. These staff members are available 24/7 to answer your specific questions about rehab and help you get placed at a Sunspire Health facility that will fit best with your needs in treatment. We accept most major private insurance plans.

Once insurance or another payment method is verified, you or the loved one you're calling for will take a clinical screening to ensure we can properly care for the addiction. After the screening is complete and approved, arrival at one of our facilities is scheduled as soon as possible. Transportation can be arranged for patients to ensure that travel is not a burden.

Sunspire Health Hyde Park Reviews

Review this Center

I went to this facility for three months for my alcohol addiction. It wasn’t the worst but it definitely wasn’t the best. Overall, an experience I’ll never forget. The best part was when the techs finally let their guard down and became sympathetic and relatable throughout the process and made us (myself and the other addicts) feel like a family away from home and instead of incarcerated. Overall, I wish they had a different lead therapist. Racine had good intentions but is definitely in the wrong field of work. I distinctly remember us seeing her walking up to the building for work and having a “I hate my job” apathetic demeanor. It was so apparent that none of us felt comfortable enough to be 100% vulnerable and transparent. In my opinion, a therapist should have strong interpersonal intelligence. I think if we had more of an approachable, positive, affable individual, it would have been a much better experience. I gave the “treatment effectiveness” five stars because it was still an eye-opening experience and 100% worth it even though I did not fully recover. I can proudly say today I am one year, four months and twenty five days sober and going strong. At the end of the day, no rehab, no therapist, no magic pill will get you sober. YOU have to want it and make that change for yourself and no one else.

A nurse called Christine stole my medication, I watched her put it in her pocket and then denied she did it. Beware of getting your meds stolen by her.
