We believe in holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Incorporating exercise into your treatment program can help you achieve long-term recovery. Research shows that under some conditions, both drug abuse and exercise show similarly increased levels of well-being and euphoria. As a recovering addict, your body has suffered from neglect and disease. Sweat it out with our exercise trainer, who visits us on-site Monday through Friday.
We're sober, not boring! Zinnia Health Newport Beach clients enjoy weekend outings including hiking, bowling, going to the beach, movies, and other enjoyable activities. While therapy is a significant aspect of recovering from addiction and co-occurring disorders, fellowship is just as important. Learning to have fun without drugs or alcohol is a new experience for many while in treatment and early recovery. Smile, laugh, and enjoy yourself. Life is meant to be celebrated!
Many people practice yoga not just for improving physical health, but also for its mental health benefits. Yoga, as well as meditation, can be particularly useful for those battling drug and alcohol addictions. Doing yoga regularly may also expand or improve the brain’s prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that is active when people make decisions, consider their options, plan, and perform multiple tasks at once. Some who struggle with drug addictions have issues with these specific cognitive abilities since drugs can directly damage or influence the prefrontal cortex. It is possible that yoga and meditation could reverse some of those effects.
Zinnia Health Newport Beach accepts private health insurance and private pay.
The first step to recovering from your addiction is to reach out to a treatment specialist. In this phone call, they will gather a little information about you and answer any questions you have about the facility.
From there, you will speak to an intake coordinator to perform an intake assessment. This process helps determine which treatment program would work best for you and if you need additional treatment for co-occurring conditions.
The last step is the first step to your recovery — and that is coming to the clinic to begin your journey.
Our clinically supervised, accredited treatment center and long-term program of recovery provide our clients with medical assistance and real-world life skills, including responsibility, accountability, and structure. By offering treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders simultaneously, our clients transform to lead successful, sober lives. Once admitted, clients work with a multidisciplinary treatment team of addiction specialists, medical professionals, therapists, and more to design a rehab treatment program that addresses all of their specific needs. Inpatient care typically lasts 30 days and includes a variety of therapeutic activities, individual counseling, and 12-step meetings. Clients may choose to step down to a lower level of outpatient treatment to receive support while also having access to increased levels of independence. These programs may also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management, motivational interviewing, and family therapy. Residents will be provided with semi-private living spaces and a healing, home-like environment where they can rest and commit to the healing process.
